New algorithm aims to stop chemo delays for cancer patients
NCT ID NCT04526886
Summary
This study tested a new method for adjusting chemotherapy doses to prevent unplanned treatment delays. It involved 52 adults with cancers of the digestive system (like colorectal or stomach cancer) who were receiving a common chemotherapy regimen called FOLFOX. The goal was to see if using a specific set of rules to lower doses earlier could keep patients on schedule without increasing serious side effects.
