Summary

This study looks at how platinum-based chemotherapy can cause permanent hearing loss in cancer patients, and whether people from poorer backgrounds are more affected. Researchers will test hearing and thinking skills in 172 patients from North West England before and after treatment. The goal is to find health gaps and guide better hearing care for cancer survivors.
