Summary

This study looks at how platinum-based chemotherapy can cause permanent hearing loss in cancer patients, especially those from poorer backgrounds. Researchers will test hearing and thinking skills in 172 patients from North West England before and after treatment. The goal is to understand who is most at risk and to improve future hearing care for cancer survivors.
