First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study explores whether using ChatGPT to create personalized educational materials helps patients better understand their breast reconstruction options before surgery. Participants scheduled for a breast reconstruction consultation are randomly assigned to receive either ChatGPT-generated education or the usual information from their surgeon. After their consultation, both patients and surgeons fill out surveys to measure understanding, satisfaction, and the usefulness of the AI-generated materials.
