Texting your doctor: new study tests if chat apps can save lives after lung scans
NCT ID NCT07234929
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tests whether using a chat app (Zalo) can help people complete recommended follow-up tests after an AI finds something unusual on their chest X-ray. About 2,700 adults in Vietnam at risk for lung cancer or TB will be split into two groups: one gets extra guidance and can ask doctors questions via the app, the other gets only basic results. The goal is to see if digital support improves follow-up rates, leading to earlier diagnosis and treatment.
