Doctors search for clues to stop cervical Cancer's return
NCT ID NCT01641484
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some cervix cancers return after standard radiation and chemotherapy treatment. Researchers tested whether persistent tumor hypoxia (low oxygen levels) during early treatment could predict whether the cancer would be controlled locally. The study involved imaging scans and biopsies on a small group of patients to gather this information, not to test a new treatment.
