New cream offers hope to stop cervical cancer before it starts
NCT ID NCT05413811
Summary
This study tested whether adding a special anti-cancer cream after standard surgery could better treat cervical precancer in women living with HIV. Researchers wanted to see if this two-step approach was practical and acceptable to 180 women in South Africa. The goal was to lower the chance of the precancer coming back or turning into cancer.
