Study probes hidden links between neck awareness and balance in slouching students
NCT ID NCT07577492
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how well young adults with Upper Crossed Syndrome—a common postural problem from too much sitting and screen time—can sense their neck position, and how that relates to core stability and balance. Researchers will compare 24 affected university students with 24 healthy controls using simple tests like head repositioning, core endurance, and balance tasks. The goal is to uncover connections that could lead to better physical therapy for posture-related issues.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could point toward better rehabilitation exercises that improve posture and balance in people with Upper Crossed Syndrome.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage observational study with only 48 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. It measures relationships, not treatment effects.
