First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study will test whether using two probes during thermal ablation (a heat treatment) works better than the standard one-probe method to prevent cervical cancer in women living with HIV. About 300 women in Kenya will receive the new two-probe technique, and researchers will check if it clears HPV infection more effectively at 6 months. The goal is to improve cervical cancer prevention in high-risk groups.
