First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study is testing a new way to detect cervical cancer using light instead of traditional tissue samples. Researchers will shine light on the cervix to find unique patterns that signal early cancer or pre-cancer. The goal is to make diagnosis faster, less painful, and more accurate. About 350 women already scheduled for colposcopy or follow-up Pap smears will take part.
