New study uses eye ultrasound to check brain health during heart surgery

Summary
This study looks at two different ways of using a heart-lung machine during bypass surgery to see which one better protects the brain. Researchers will measure pressure inside the skull using a harmless eye ultrasound and track brain oxygen levels. 70 adults having planned heart bypass surgery will take part. The goal is to find out which technique leads to safer brain function and faster recovery after surgery.
