Summary

This study looked at whether adding cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to standard medication (risperidone) could improve cognitive function in 42 adults with stable schizophrenia. Participants either received risperidone alone or risperidone plus 10 weekly CBT sessions. Researchers measured changes in thinking skills and a blood marker called BDNF after 10 weeks.
