First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at whether treating depression with an online therapy program can improve how the body uses insulin in people with HIV who are on HIV medication. About 150 adults with HIV and depression will either receive 9 weeks of internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy or educational materials about depression. Researchers will measure insulin resistance and inflammation over 12 months to see if the therapy helps prevent worsening blood sugar control.
