Sleep therapy shows promise for rewiring painful brains

NCT ID NCT03744156

Summary

This study tested whether a non-drug sleep therapy could reduce pain in women with fibromyalgia. Researchers compared two behavioral sleep programs to see if better sleep could change how the brain processes pain signals. The goal was to see if this relatively brief therapy could provide lasting pain relief by improving sleep quality.
