Can therapy help people afraid to eat due to chronic stomach pain?

NCT ID NCT05587127

Summary

This study is testing a special type of talk therapy for adults who have chronic stomach pain (functional dyspepsia) and, as a result, avoid eating certain foods and have lost weight. The therapy uses gentle, repeated exposure to feared foods to help people eat more comfortably. Researchers will compare this therapy to regular medical care to see if it's helpful and acceptable.
