Brain scans probe CBD's power against pain and depression
NCT ID NCT05066308
Summary
This study is testing whether cannabidiol (CBD) can reduce inflammation in the brains of people with chronic low back pain, some of whom also have mild to moderate depression. Researchers will use special brain scans to measure inflammation before and after participants take either CBD or a placebo pill for four weeks. The goal is to see if reducing brain inflammation leads to less pain and fewer depressive symptoms.
