CBD tested to calm distress in Alzheimer's patients

NCT ID NCT04075435

Summary

This small, early-stage study is testing whether a liquid CBD solution placed under the tongue can help reduce anxiety and agitation in older adults with mild memory problems or early Alzheimer's disease. The 12 participants will take the solution for eight weeks while researchers measure changes in their anxiety levels and check for safety. The goal is to see if this CBD treatment can ease these difficult behavioral symptoms without causing harmful side effects or making memory worse.
