First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 31, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

People with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) have up to double the risk of heart attack. This study will look for early warning signs in the blood and heart scans of 120 adults with RA, ages 40-79, who have at least one other heart risk factor. The goal is to find better ways to identify who needs preventive treatment before symptoms appear.
