Summary

This study looks at whether watching a cartoon or playing a mobile game for 10 minutes before surgery can lower anxiety and fear in children aged 7 to 12 who are hospitalized for appendicitis. About 69 children will be split into three groups: one watches a cartoon, one plays a mobile game, and one gets standard care. Researchers will measure anxiety and fear levels before and after the activity to see if these simple, fun distractions help kids feel calmer.
