New combo therapy targets hard-to-treat skin cancer

Summary

This study tests a combination of targeted radiation (CART) and the immunotherapy drug avelumab in 18 people with advanced Merkel cell carcinoma that has spread or cannot be removed by surgery. The goal is to see if this approach can slow or stop the cancer from growing. Participants must have already tried and failed an immunotherapy treatment.
