NCT ID NCT07499765
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether a formal care support program, led by a specialized nurse, can reduce anxiety in people who have just been told they have acute leukemia. About 110 patients will be split into two groups: one gets the extra support, the other does not. Researchers will measure changes in anxiety using a standard questionnaire.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
care support program with a specialized nurse
What this could lead to
If it works, this could show that structured emotional support after a leukemia diagnosis helps lower patient anxiety.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study focused on anxiety, not on treating the leukemia itself. The results may not apply to all patients or hospitals.
