New drug aims to stop debilitating chest pain from returning
NCT ID NCT06708299
Summary
This trial is testing if a drug called CardiolRx can prevent painful flare-ups of recurrent pericarditis (chest inflammation) in people who are stopping their current strong medication. About 110 adults who have been stable on their current treatment will receive either CardiolRx or a placebo for 24 weeks. The main goal is to see if patients stay free of a painful recurrence after switching treatments.
