New drug trial aims to tame painful, recurring heart inflammation
NCT ID NCT07010159
Summary
This study is testing a new drug called KPL-387 to see if it can effectively treat and prevent the return of recurrent pericarditis, a painful inflammation of the heart's lining. It will involve about 165 adults who continue to have flare-ups despite standard treatments. The research aims to find the best dose, confirm the drug's effectiveness, and understand its long-term safety and ability to keep the condition under control.
