New combo shows promise in Tough-to-Treat breast cancer

NCT ID NCT03414684

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding the immunotherapy drug nivolumab to standard chemotherapy (carboplatin) helps people with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer live longer without their disease getting worse. About 78 participants with advanced cancer that has spread will receive either carboplatin alone or carboplatin plus nivolumab. The goal is to see if the combination improves progression-free survival.
