NCT ID NCT07519057
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests if drinking a carbohydrate beverage before liver transplant surgery helps patients recover more quickly and spend fewer days in the hospital. About 434 adults receiving a liver transplant will be randomly assigned to drink either the carbohydrate drink or a placebo. Researchers will track how long patients stay in the hospital and how soon their digestive system works normally after surgery.
