Radical cell therapy trial aims to reset immune system in tough autoimmune cases

NCT ID NCT07246096

Summary

This early-stage study is testing the safety and initial effectiveness of a new type of cell therapy called universal CAR-T for people with severe autoimmune diseases that have not improved with standard treatments. The therapy involves modifying a patient's own immune cells to target and remove harmful B cells, which are thought to drive these diseases. The study will enroll 60 adults with conditions like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, or scleroderma to find a safe dose and see if the treatment can control their disease.
