Experimental cell therapy aims to tame rebellious immune system in chronic disease
NCT ID NCT07148791
Summary
This study is testing a new cell therapy for adults with IgG4-related disease, a chronic condition where the immune system attacks the body's own tissues. The therapy involves collecting a patient's own immune cells, modifying them in a lab to better target the disease, and then infusing them back. The main goals are to see if this one-time treatment is safe and if it can reduce disease activity over 6 months in people whose condition has not responded to standard drugs.
