Supercharged immune cells take on tough leukemia
NCT ID NCT06287528
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This early-phase trial tests a new type of CAR T-cell therapy for people with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) that has come back or not responded to standard treatments. The therapy uses a patient's own immune cells, which are modified in a lab to better recognize and attack leukemia cells while also releasing a protein (IL-18) to boost their activity. The main goal is to check the safety of this approach in 18 adults.
