New hope for kids with tough leukemia: smarter CAR T-Cell production under study

Summary

This study is for children with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) that has come back or not responded to treatment. Researchers are testing a new way to make special immune cells, called CAR T-cells, using a machine called CliniMACS Prodigy. The goal is to see if this new manufacturing method is safe and works better at fighting the cancer. About 89 children will take part.
