Summary
This phase 2 study tested a sequence of four drugs—carfilzomib, clarithromycin, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone—in 74 people newly diagnosed with multiple myeloma. The goal was to see how safe and effective this combination is at controlling the disease. Participants first received carfilzomib with dexamethasone, followed by the other three drugs, then lenalidomide alone. The study measured how many patients achieved a deep response and how long they stayed free of disease progression.
