Blood test may spot kidney risk early in pancreatitis

NCT ID NCT07335757

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether the ratio of C-reactive protein to albumin (CAR) in the blood can help predict acute kidney injury in people with acute pancreatitis. Researchers will measure CAR in 150 adults admitted to Assiut University Hospitals and see how it relates to kidney problems. The goal is to find a cheap, easy way to catch kidney damage early.
