Swallowable camera could replace colonoscopy for lynch syndrome patients
NCT ID NCT07445828
First seen Mar 13, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a tiny camera in a capsule, which you swallow, can be a good alternative to standard colonoscopy for people with Lynch syndrome. Lynch syndrome greatly raises the risk of colon cancer, so regular screening is important. The capsule camera is less invasive and may be more comfortable, which could help more people stick with their screening schedule. The study will compare how well the capsule finds polyps and other issues versus the usual colonoscopy.
