Summary
This phase 3 trial is testing a combination of two drugs—capivasertib (a pill that targets cancer cell growth) and fulvestrant (an injection that blocks estrogen)—in 258 Chinese patients with advanced HR+/HER2- breast cancer that has worsened after hormone therapy. The study focuses on patients with specific genetic changes (PIK3CA/AKT1/PTEN) to see if the combo delays the need for further treatment. It is currently active but no longer recruiting.
