Tiny nail vessels could reveal hidden cause of lung disease

NCT ID NCT07283081

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a simple, non-invasive nail microscope exam (capillaroscopy) can help doctors find connective tissue disease faster in people newly diagnosed with interstitial lung disease. 48 adults will get the exam alongside standard care. The goal is to see if this extra test leads to a quicker diagnosis and earlier treatment.

What this could mean
