Sleeping pill from a plant? cannabis oil tested for Depression-Related insomnia
NCT ID NCT05041647
Summary
This small, completed pilot study explored whether a cannabis-infused oil could help improve sleep for people with major depression who also have chronic insomnia. Fourteen participants were randomly assigned to receive either a placebo or one of two oil formulas with different CBD levels, taken at bedtime for four weeks. The main goal was to see if running a larger, definitive trial on this topic would be practical, while also checking for initial signs that the oil might help people fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.
