Scientists test if pot changes how HIV drugs work
NCT ID NCT04800159
Summary
This study aims to understand how using cannabis affects the levels of HIV medications in the body and brain, and whether it impacts mood and thinking. Researchers will first observe 120 people who already use cannabis, then give cannabis or a placebo to 40 people to measure immediate effects. The goal is to learn if cannabis changes how HIV drugs are processed and if that leads to benefits or risks.
