NCT ID NCT04883255

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how cannabis ingredients (THC and CBD) affect decision-making, attention, and motivation in people with and without HIV. About 138 adults who use cannabis infrequently will take either THC, CBD, or a placebo for 5 days and complete thinking tests and brain fluid measurements. The goal is to understand how cannabis interacts with HIV and brain function, not to treat the disease.
