First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study is testing a special PET-CT scanner that takes detailed pictures of cancer tissue right after it is removed during surgery. Researchers want to see if these images match what the lab finds under a microscope. About 850 people with prostate, breast, head and neck, or other cancers will take part. The goal is to help surgeons make better decisions during surgery and improve long-term outcomes.
