First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study follows 56 adolescents and young adults with a genetic predisposition to cancer as they leave pediatric care and enter the adult health system. Researchers want to see if these individuals find adult doctors and continue recommended cancer screenings over the next 8 years. The goal is to understand what helps or hinders a smooth transition and to improve long-term care for this high-risk group.
