NCT ID NCT01647425

Summary

This study followed 385 people newly diagnosed with lung or head/neck cancer to understand how many continue using tobacco and alcohol during their first year of treatment. Researchers tracked patients' substance use patterns to identify factors that make quitting difficult. The goal is to help doctors create better support programs for patients struggling with addiction during cancer care.
