New combo therapy aims to fight the exhausting fatigue of advanced cancer

NCT ID NCT03583255

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of home-based exercise and a short course of a steroid medication (dexamethasone) can help reduce severe fatigue in people with advanced cancer. The trial involves 99 participants who will be randomly assigned to do exercise with either the real steroid or a placebo pill. The main goals are to see if the program is practical for patients to follow and if it successfully eases their fatigue.
