Scientists test new drug duo in fight against tough cancers

NCT ID NCT02211755

Summary

This early-stage study tested the safety of combining two cancer drugs, bortezomib and clofarabine, in adults with advanced solid tumors, lymphomas, or blood disorders that had stopped responding to standard treatments. The main goal was to find the highest dose patients could tolerate without severe side effects. Researchers also took tissue and blood samples to learn how the drugs might affect cancer cells.
