New tool helps dementia patients have a say in cancer care

Summary

This study tests a new way for doctors, patients with dementia, and their family caregivers to talk together about cancer treatment decisions. About 300 people (patients with both dementia and cancer, plus their caregivers) will take part. The goal is to see if the communication tool helps patients feel more supported and leads to care that matches their personal goals.
