Can your hand lotion fight aging? scientists test common moisturizers
NCT ID NCT06750653
Summary
This study is exploring whether applying common over-the-counter moisturizers can reduce body-wide inflammation in older adults with dry skin. Researchers will enroll 32 participants aged 70+ to apply either Vaseline or CeraVe cream daily for four weeks, comparing it to a period of no moisturizer use. The main goal is to see if this type of study is practical to run, while also checking if moisturizers improve skin health and lower blood markers of inflammation.
