New hope for advanced GI cancers: drug combo trial launches

Summary

This study tests a combination of two or three drugs (cabozantinib, durvalumab, and possibly tremelimumab) in people with advanced stomach, esophageal, liver, or colorectal cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. The goal is to find the safest dose and see if the treatment can shrink tumors. About 117 adults with stage 3 or 4 disease will take part.
