NCT ID NCT05953376
First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study was designed to test whether giving calcium immediately to trauma patients receiving massive blood transfusions could reduce the amount of blood products needed, the use of blood pressure medications, and death. The trial was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available. It would have included adult trauma patients without pregnancy, hypercalcemia, or hemophilia.
