Could a simple calcium shot save lives on the worst day?

NCT ID NCT05953376

Summary

This study aimed to see if giving calcium directly into the bloodstream during major blood transfusions helps trauma patients who are bleeding heavily. It planned to compare giving calcium right away to the usual method of checking blood levels first. The goal was to see if early calcium reduces the need for blood products, blood pressure medications, and deaths.
