Blood test may spot preeclampsia risk before symptoms appear
NCT ID NCT07467226
First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a protein called Cadherin-6 in the blood can help predict preeclampsia, a dangerous pregnancy complication involving high blood pressure. Researchers measured Cadherin-6 levels in 150 pregnant women between 15-20 weeks of pregnancy and followed their outcomes. If successful, this test could allow doctors to identify at-risk women earlier and start preventive treatments like low-dose aspirin.
