First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to rebuild bone in the front upper jaw and place a dental implant all in one visit. Twenty adults with bone loss from a failed implant received a custom-made, donor bone block shaped by a computer. The goal was to see if this approach could provide enough bone support for the implant to stay healthy long-term.
