New oral film could curb PTSD after car crashes

Summary
This study tests a medicine called BXCL501 (a fast-dissolving film placed under the tongue) to see if it can reduce severe stress symptoms and prevent PTSD in people who have just been in a car accident. About 100 adults who come to the emergency room within 72 hours of a crash will receive either the drug or a placebo, then be followed for two weeks. The goal is to ease acute stress and improve thinking and memory after the trauma.
