First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested whether buspirone (Buspar), a drug used for anxiety, can reduce irritability and aggression in people who have had a traumatic brain injury. 81 adults with a closed head injury at least 6 months prior took either buspirone or a placebo for 91 days. The goal was to see if the drug improved behavior control, measured by changes in irritability and aggression scores.
